About Teresa

Hi, I’m Teresa the owner of Tidy to a T.  Life in rural NSW is always busy. Married to a farmer, and with three teens at three schools, life is never quiet or boring.

For the past 20 years, I have worked in healthcare. From nursing to healthcare records management and systems development. Then moving on to quality control and work health and safety.

I've always been a relatively organised person, but with a growing family and a full-time job, I found myself drowning in my family’s possessions.  Items were constantly coming into our home, kids toys and sporting equipment, school projects and workbooks, linen, kitchen utensils, books, and the millions of other items a family accumulates. But nothing was organised and nothing seemed to leave.

In a desperate search to organise our home and lives, I stumbled across Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and the Australian podcast The Art of Decluttering.  Trying methods from both of these sources I developed decluttering and organising methods and systems that not only work for me, but also for the different ways my husband and children manage their possessions.  We don’t all think the same way and need systems that work for the individual ways our brains work. So, today we have a relatively organised home and I feel much happier with the levels of stuff in each room and cupboard.

In 2021 I decided to turn my passions into a business.  Offering local families and businesses an opportunity to declutter and organise their homes, garages, businesses, storage units, and lives.

I am passionate about rural life and improving the lives of people in our rural communities.
